Andrea Ellison
Sector Development Lead (Ground Source, Ambient Heat & Deep Geothermal)
Andrea is a highly skilled professional in the renewable energy and environmental sectors. She recently joined ADE as the Sector Development Lead for Ground Source, Ambient Heat, and Deep Geothermal within the Heat Networks division. In this role, she also represents Affiliate Members on the ADE: Heat Networks Board.
With extensive entrepreneurial experience, Andrea has founded and operates several environmental companies specialising in water and ground source borehole drilling, landfill drilling, heat pumps and renewable energy projects. She previously served as a director of GSHPA, where she contributed significantly to the development of industry standards and member liasion.
Andrea will collaborate with the ADE team to establish standards in the Heat Networks department. She leverages her B.Ed (Hons) from Liverpool University and her background as a teacher and headteacher to promote the industry within schools and colleges.
Recognised on the 2025 TAF Power List and by the ACR Women in the Industry section, she is also actively involved in her local community, supporting local initiatives and engagement.
