ADE believes that the way we operate should reflect the change we want to see in the energy sector. Strong governance, an inclusive culture and responsible business practices underpin our work. Together this helps us to ensure we remain accountable to our members, our stakeholders and each other. Our organisational values: Supportive + Inclusive, Driven + Focussed, Resilient + Adaptive, Fair + Honest, guide how we make decisions, how we work together and how we engage with the wider sector. Our governance is designed not only to keep ADE accountable but also representative and focused on impact. Our Function Boards for ADE: Heat Networks and ADE: Demand provide strategic direction and challenge, while our Executive Board supports us in strengthening the diversity and effectiveness of our overall governance.
We aim to reflect our commitments and values in how we run ADE. Our Sustainability Strategy is supported by an annual carbon monitoring report, allowing us to track our emissions and identify opportunities for improvement. Our EDI Roadmap sets out how we are improving equality, diversity and inclusion within ADE, with progress tracked through an EDI Monitoring Report. Our commitments are reflected in practical measures across the organisation, including blind recruitment, flexible and hybrid working, inclusive workplace policies, professional development opportunities, sustainable travel benefits and support for staff to reduce their own carbon impact. By publishing our strategies and monitoring our progress, we want to be transparent about what we are doing, what we have achieved and where we still need to improve.
