Vattenfall - Bristol Heat Network
Vattenfall is working as part of Bristol City Leap, a public and private sector partnership which will deliver at least £1 billion of investment into Bristol’s energy system by 2030. Vattenfall is expanding the existing Bristol heat network and developing new networks, with the long-term goal to interconnect them to deliver a city-wide, resilient heat network.

Vattenfall is expanding the existing Bristol heat network and developing new networks, with the long-term goal to interconnect them to deliver a city-wide, resilient heat network.
The equivalent of almost 6,000 buildings are being supplied with low carbon heating and hot water including a fire station, a health clinic, new residential and commercial developments and a Victorian primary school. By 2030, £475 million will be invested by Vattenfall, and the equivalent of 12,000 homes will be connected to the network.
Vattenfall, will harness the city’s culture of climate action through a combined social value package worth £61.5 million. This includes a £1.5 million Community Energy Fund, 1,000 new jobs and a commitment to deliver £50m worth of contracts with local suppliers.
